James Maddison, Brennan Johnson and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg react as ‘warrior’ bids farewell to Tottenham
Tottenham Hotspur are up and running in the summer transfer window, having signed a new player and sold a different one to the same club.
Earlier this week, Spurs announced the signing of Archie Gray from Leeds United, while Joe Rodon has gone the other way to Elland Road in a separate deal.
Gray has penned a six-year deal with Tottenham, while Rodon has linked up with Leeds on a permanent basis after a successful loan spell in Yorkshire last term.
As per BBC Sport, the 18-year-old midfielder joins Spurs for a fee between £30-40million, with Rodon going the other way for £10million.
The likes of Pedro Porro and Yves Bissouma have already reacted to Gray’s switch to Tottenham, and now a number of Spurs players have reacted to Rodon’s farewell message.

Tottenham trio wish Joe Rodon well as he joins Leeds
The Wales international has taken to Instagram to say a “huge thank you to everyone” at Tottenham.
“It was a pleasure to play for the club with such great teammates and I would like to thank the fans for the support they showed me throughout my time here,” he added.
“Now it’s time for a new adventure!”
Plenty of fans and a number of peers – plus Tottenham’s Instagram account – wished Rodon all the best.
For instance, fellow Wales international Brennan Johnson wrote “good luck brother”, James Maddison wrote “good luck mate”, and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg wrote “warrior, best of luck”.
Rodon deal good for all parties
Although Rodon’s Tottenham career has never really got going, he has been consistently impressive for Wales and was superb for Leeds last season.
This transfer is great for all involved. Spurs sell a player surplus to requirements and recoup a lot of what they paid for him, Rodon gets stability by joining another club permanently, and Leeds fans get to keep a defensive powerhouse who impressed for them on loan.
