Kaizer Chiefs have a few of their players whose contracts expire at the end of the current campaign but at least two could be kept.
Kaizer Chiefs have reportedly offered two senior players new contract deals in an attempt to keep them beyond June 2025.
According to a source known to Soccer Laduma, both Yusuf Maart and Reeve Frosler may extend their stay at Naturena.
Both Maart and Frosler will see their contracts expire in June, and Chiefs are not ready to lose them.
Maart, who is also the club’s captain, has been with Amakhosi for two-and-a-half years.
Frosler, on the other hand, is in his fifth year with Chiefs following his arrival from the now defunct Bidvest Wits in 2019.
And while the duo have had their own struggles at Chiefs, they remain important members of the club.

Frosler, though, often struggled for game time, especially after the arrival of Zitha Kwinika from Stellenbosch FC.
To date, Frosler has featured in 145 competitive matches for Chiefs since his arrival from Wits.
Should Chiefs fail to tie down any of the players whose contract expire in June by January, those stars would then be eligible to sign pre-contracts with clubs of their choice.

“For now, we can talk about all the six although it’s different for Yusuf Maart and Reeve Frosler as they have already been offered new contracts to stay at the club,” said the source.
“The situation is a bit tricky with Edson [Castillo] now,” added the source.
