    Molefi Ntseki

Marumo Gallants FC has released head coach Dan Malesela and technical director Molefi Ntseki following the team’s struggle.

Marumo Gallants have fired head coach Dan Malesela and Technical Director Molefi Ntseki with immediate effect.

The club announced on Friday following their 3-1 loss against Mamelodi Sundowns this week. Gallants are currently in the relegation battle having only won four out of their 17 league matches.

Malesela was appointed head coach back in July last year and despite his team playing a good brand of football, results have been hard to come by.

Former Kaizer Chiefs coach Molefi Ntseki was appointed as the Technical Director of the club in November 2024. The appointment was made to strengthen the club’s technical department and improve the team’s performance. On Friday, Gallants announced that him and Malesela have been axed.

“Marumo Gallants FC has released Head Coach Dan Malesela and Technical Director Molefi Ntseki following the club’s struggle to improve its league standing,” the club said in a statement.

“Currently 14th on the log with just four wins from 17 matches, Gallants is looking for a fresh approach. The club appreciates their contributions and wishes them well in their future endeavours.

“In the interim, Assistant Coaches Sundra Govender and Duncan Lechesa will oversee the team while the process of appointing a permanent head coach is finalised.

Marumo Gallants still have 13 more matches to save their season.

Kaizer Chiefs news: Just now Nabi apologises to chiefs fans saying….

    Nabi coach

Kaizer Chiefs were thumped 4-1 by SuperSport United, putting coach Nasreddine Nabi back in the hot seat.

SuperSport United, laden with former Kaizer Chiefs personnel, from Gavin Hunt to Christian Saile, punished AmaKhosi 4-1 in their own backyard.

In the post-match interview, Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi apologised to the fans, saying, “so now I want to speak to the fans because I’m not someone who runs away from responsibility. I want to take this time to explain to them the situation and not necessarily to make excuses,

“It is true that today’s result hurts them and I’m also the first person that it hurts as well as them. This is not the game that they should use to judge their team or at least the potential of their team

“This kind of accident happens in all championships, and it can even happen that the score is higher than what we’ve seen today. It’s not possible to be a good team three days earlier and then three days after you are a weak team, it’s not possible,” the Kaizer Chiefs boss added.

“As I said, we cannot always give excuses but I’m very understanding when it comes to my players and today I understood that they gave their best like in the previous games and they were tired,

“So, that’s the reason why I would ask you [the media] to be indulgent with the players as you have done it in the happy times, do it also in the difficult times.”

Chiefs to land two Royal AM players?

According to reports, Kaizer Chiefs are monitoring Royal AM pair Mfundo Thikazi and goalkeeper, Xolani Ngcobo, and could get both for free amid the club’s current downfall.
