    Baroka Humble Durban City, CT Spurs In Trouble!

    Orbit College missed the chance to close the gap on Motsepe Foundation Championship leaders Durban City after playing to a 2-2 draw against Casric Stars.

    The draw sees Orbit remain in second spot on the standings, but they only sit four points behind City.

    Stars, meanwhile, find themselves in fourth spot, three points adrift of the promotion play-off spot.

    Upington City 0-1 Leruma United FC

    Leruma United boosted their survival hopes with a crucial 1-0 win away to Upington City on Sunday afternoon.

    Leruma remain bottom of the table but they are level on points with 15th-place Cape Town Spurs and 14th-place Black Leopards.

    Durban City remain top of the table despite losing 2-1 to Baroka FC on Saturday afternoon.

    After a scoreless first half, Kabelo Kgositsile opened the scoring for the home side, before City restored parity through Samkelo Maseko.

    However, Baroka had the final say as David Mothipi secured the winning goal and boosted the club’s push for the play-offs.

    JDR Stars 0-0 Cape Town Spurs

    Cape Town Spurs’ troubles in the Championship continued after a goalless draw away to JDR Stars.

    Spurs remain in 15th position while Stars, in fifth place, missed the opportunity to close the gap on Durban City.

    Pretoria Callies 2-1 Black Leopards

    Pretoria Callies moved further away from the relegation zone with a 2-1 victory over Black Leopards on Saturday.

    Goals from Lindokuhle Nyandeni and Sibongakonke Mgwaba sealed the victory for the home side.

    Venda Football Academy 0-0 University of Pretoria

    Kruger United 1-0 Hungry Lions

    Kruger United remain in the hunt for a play-off place after defeating Hungry Lions 1-0 on Saturday afternoon.

    Kruger leapfrog Lions into seventh spot and now sit five points behind the top three.

    Highbury FC got back to winning ways in fine style after thrashing Milford FC 5-1 on Friday afternoon.

    The hosts raced into a two-goal lead in the first half thanks to strikes from Koketso Sekgodiso and Matome Mabeba.

    Highbury carried that momentum into the second half, as Tsepo Cetywayo added a third goal while Thokozani Ngubane contributed with a brace.

    Mthetheleli Mthiyane netted Milford’s only goal from the penalty spot.
