Daniel Levy makes ‘desperate plea to fans’ with official Tottenham announcement

Daniel Levy appears to finally be cracking under the pressure at Tottenham after a recent announcement.

Levy is arguably at times the least popular person in the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on matchday.

The 62-year-old has ruled with an iron fist in North London, and could once again demonstrate his ruthless streak with managers by sacking Ange Postecoglou.

Levy usually isn’t afraid to upset supporters with official announcements and decisions at the club.

As a result, fans appear to finally be losing their patience with the Spurs chairman, with one supporter clashing with Jim White after what the talkSPORT host said about Levy recently.

Large-scale protests have taken place at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this season, and this wasn’t thought to have bothered Levy too much.

However, based on a recent club announcement, it seems as though the fans’ voices might have been heard, and Levy might be feeling the heat after all.

    Tottenham make new ticket announcement

Levy has helped turn Spurs into a commercial powerhouse, largely thanks to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

However, moving to a shiny new 62,000-plus seater home has meant fans have been forced to pay more money to watch their team play.

Since the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium opened in 2019, ticket prices have been gradually increasing year on year.

However, that will not be the case in the 2025/26 season.

In an official announcement on Wednesday (12 March), Tottenham confirmed that there will be no increase on season ticket or match ticket prices next season.

This comes after a formal consultation process with the club’s Fan Advisory Board and the Tottenham Hotspur Supporters’ Trust that has been ongoing since September 2024

Levy needs to do more to please Tottenham fans

This latest move feels like a desperate plea from Levy to Tottenham fans.

In reality, based on the season Spurs have had, the club had no choice but to freeze ticket prices, and as many fans have suggested in the replies, the prices should have probably even been decreased.

Tottenham have been awful in the Premier LeagueSpurs are struggling in the bottom half of the Premier League, yet their fans are still paying some of the highest ticket prices in Europe.

    Therefore,

while Levy might be rather proud of himself for this gesture, ultimately it was the least the club could do for their supporters, and comes across as a desperate move to try and get back in the fans’ good books.
