The DHL Stormers have bolstered their front row with the signing of Springbok loosehead prop Ntuthuko Mchunu, who joins from the Sharks at just 25 years old.

Mchunu arrives in Cape Town as a highly rated talent, brought in to help fill the significant void left by the departure of veteran Steven Kitshoff, who retired earlier this year.

Stormers Director of Rugby John Dobson hailed the move, praising the youngster’s “explosive athleticism and strong scrumming technique,” qualities that are expected to give the team an extra edge up front.

Mchunu himself expressed his excitement about the move, describing the Stormers as a “special environment” and promising to give

his all once he joins up with the squad.
