‘It will come’: c says £22m Tottenham player is about to start scoring for fun

Heung-Min Son hasn’t been in the best of form over the past 12 months.

The South Korean was nowhere near his best last season as the goals completely dried up, and against Brentford at the weekend, he didn’t look too dangerous either.

Indeed, Son barely had a sniff at goal against the Bees, and many are already questioning the forward.

On the Fantasy 606 Podcast on BBC Radio Five Live, Chris Sutton argued that it would be foolish to remove Son from your FPL team at this time since the goals will eventually come for the Spurs striker and predicted that Son will regain his form shortly.

    Son will improve

Sutton gave his verdict on the £22m striker.

“I think you’re stupid to ditch Son though. I do. I think it will come. They’re all a bit rusty these Spurs forwards but they will score goals. The earlier advice about Emerson Royal is stupid advice, they will concede a barrel load of goals,” Sutton said.

Ange Postecoglou loves working for Tottenham.

The 57-year-old, however, emphasized that he is intrigued by the challenge that is before him and that there is nowhere else he would rather be right now.

I enjoy this part,” the Tottenham head coach said on the Men in Blazers podcast, as reported by Football.London. The new task is fantastic.

“I enjoy entering a space, and it’s probably unique to me that I enter these enormous football clubs all by myself without bringing a group of staff with me. The energy it gives me is something I adore.

The north London giants are preparing to hold talks with Barcelona over a possible transfer, but no fee has been mentioned.

    Possible deal

Barcelona head coach Xavi Hernandez has refused to rule out Fati’s departure over the past few weeks. The Spaniard has repeatedly said that the club’s decisions would depend on the Financial Fair Play situation.

This is bound to frustrate the youngster, who has struggled for regular minutes under him. Last season, Fati managed only 36 minutes per outing for Barcelona, but still impressed with 14 goal involvements.

Against Getafe recently, Fati was only brought on in the 79th minute of the game. Abde Ezzalzouli, who had played just 12 games for the club previously, was substituted onto the pitch after the half-time interval.

This could urge Fati to move on in the coming days. Both Arsenal and Tottenham are interested in signing him, but the big question mark is whether he would be satisfied with limited playing time at either club.

The 30-million-pound star prefers to attack from the left side. For the Gunners and Spurs, Gabriel Martinelli and Son Heung-min are essentially locks to start in that position. Leandro Trossard is another member of Arsenal.

The Spaniard can occasionally play up front, and it may become a regular position for him in the future. He might have a better chance of unseating the strikers who are currently playing for the clubs in north London.
