Following the Liverpool game, Stephen Warnock nearly ran out of praise for 20-year-old Tottenham Hotspur player Destiny Udogie.

On “The Football Show” on Sky Sports News, Warnock praised the defence alongside Micky van de Ven.

The pundit was astonished by how far up the pitch Udogie was playing, thanks to Ange Postecoglou.

But Udogie too, my gosh, what a find he is as well, Warnock added.

I was not surprised by how energetic he came off.

He was playing centre forward for the majority of the game while I watched him and thought, “He cannot continue to make these runs.

You’re a left back, so I guess I should go put my boots back on, I’m thinking.

But a ex-pro like Warnock will be fully aware that Udogie and his Tottenham teammates will face tough periods in the future.

And the real test may be how they bounce back from those moments.

He’s playing fantastic football for them right now.

Of course, Warnock isn’t the only commentator to laud Udogie’s early success at Tottenham.

Since moving to the Premier League on a permanent basis this summer for £15 million, the new addition has adapted to the league in no time at all.

Additionally, Ange has two top-tier fullbacks to go with Pedro Porro on the right.

For Tottenham, Warnock believed Udogie was a striker.

Even though Udogie’s new manager has given him a strong offensive mandate, he still pulls off an excellent goal-line clearance.

The Italian received glowing reviews from Manor Solomon and Brennan Johnson after the Liverpool game.
