Serie A club see Spurs player as a low-cost January option
During his nearly ten-year tenure with the team, Eric Dier had been a consistent starter for nearly every Spurs manager. Dier was a defensive staple for Antonio Conte, who was coached by Jose Mourinho, and Mauricio Pochettino, who loved him a lot.Dier has yet to play for the Lilywhites since Ange Postecoglou joined the team, though. Dier could be reunited with Mourinho

Any bidding war could prevent the Serie A team from pursuing their interest in Dier because Roma manager Tiago Pinto wants to keep costs down.
