Rassie Erasmus has spoken out in response to the threats made against Springbok Cobus Reinach and his little son following France’s defeat to South Africa in the quarterfinals.

    Rassie Erasmus reveals death t

When he released evidence of death threats made against Cobus Reinach and his young family, Rassie Erasmus exposed the intolerable level of hatred the Springboks had been subjected to.

It is not widely known that the French did not accept their defeat against the Springboks in the quarterfinals. Since that memorable match and the outcome, which saw the Springboks advance to the semifinals and the hosts eliminated from the competition, there has been considerable fury and defamatory claims leveled against the South African team.

Rassie Erasmus uploaded a few screenshots on Thursday in which murder threats were made against Reinach and his little kid. This led to a worsening of the degree of online harassment.

Renach and his small kid were the targets of threats.

Reinach, a Springbok who plays club rugby in France for Montpellier, received two hateful texts, one addressed to him and the other to his son, the second of which included contained a photo of the Springbok’s child.

These are the translations of the death threat messages:

“Dirty son of a bitch, I hope that when you return to Montpellier you get murdered by French people on the ground, gang of thieves easy to win a title by cheating,” said the person who said this to the player.

The inscription, which features a picture of Reinach Jr., reads, “Go die.”

When he shared the screenshots of the death threats on his own X (Twitter) account, Rassie Erasmus captioned his post as follows: “This is obviously not true. Unfortunately these threats was made to Cobus Reinach!! It’s not nice and upsets a mom and dad to see things like that said about their boy! But we are not gonna whine, we will just move on!!! Hulle weet nie wat ons weet nie.”
