Ange Postecoglou issues a warning to Premier League rivals, stating that Tottenham will “grow in every area.”
Ange Postecoglou has cautioned Tottenham’s Premier League rivals that there is still a great deal of space for growth in the future.

However, Postecoglou thinks that in the last third, his new appearance might be more “natural and fluent”.

“I still believe that the offensive end of the game will be where we grow the most. It’s not unexpected that I believe a lot of our movements, especially in the front third, are still not as fluid and natural as we would like them to be. However, the reason we are achieving our objectives is because of our excellent quality up there. However, I still believe that our offensive department will see the most improvement.”
If Spurs win again at Selhurst Park, they would lead the standings by five points, but Postecoglou downplayed the importance of their standing and stated he is not discussing a title challenge with his team.
“There is a real good reason no manager will talk about winning a title in October or November because we know there’s a long way to go,” he explained. “We don’t really communicate with the players in that way.
“My primary focus is on how to enhance our performance and meet the demands of competing in the world’s most competitive league on a weekly basis. The true challenge for us, especially at this point in our growth, is realizing that every game is extremely difficult for us right now given where our squad is at. This is true regardless of what is going on outside or the noise it makes.
“We need to be fully focused on that and from my perspective the lads have been really good at just keeping their eyes firmly on what’s next and what’s next for us is a tough game for us tomorrow night.”

On Friday night, Postecoglou will take on Roy Hodgson, the 76-year-old senior statesman of the Premier League.
The Australian downplayed the likelihood of Hodgson remaining a manager at the same age, but he does think that Hodgson’s career variety makes him unique.
Postecoglou exclaimed, “That’s not the plan!” “I hope to be lounging on a Greek island and enjoying international football when I’m 76 years old. Perhaps I will even begin to conduct punditry and make a name for myself overnight.” That’s the strategy, but surprises abound in life, my buddy.
“In my opinion, Roy has had the most prosperous career. He has coached in this country and beyond, at both large and small clubs, and in the fight for honors.
“He has battled to avoid being demoted. He has been a coach in several nations, and when the time comes for him to step down—which I believe will not happen for some time given his current trajectory—he will be able to reflect on a fulfilling career that, in my opinion, entails more than just success, wealth, or notoriety.
“He probably speaks five or six languages, he can probably go to multiple clubs and be welcomed with open arms. Just massive admiration and my career hopefully when I get to the end of it I can have a fraction of the experiences I had.”
