James Maddison blast angrily back at Chelsea legend with Tottenham message

On Monday night, Chelsea ended Tottenham’s Premier League winning streak, as Mauricio Pochettino came back to haunt his former team.

After Tottenham’s 4-1 loss to the Blues on Monday night, James Maddison retaliated against Chelsea legend John Terry. Following Chelsea’s 4-1 victory over their London rivals away from home, Terry was beaming and shared a video of his celebrations on Instagram.

Not only Terry but Marcos Alonso also shared the victory with the Blues, writing “London is Blue” on X (previously Twitter). After celebrating with his spouse, the former Chelsea captain wrote as the caption for his Instagram photo, “When @chelseafc beat Spurs 4-1 on a school night and the tequila comes out, and you end up dancing and singing on the bar.”

Within the first fifteen minutes, Dejan Kulusevski’s shot deflected past Robert Sanchez and into the Blues’ goal, putting Mauricio Pochettino’s team behind. However, Cole Palmer’s penalty kick for Chelsea tied the score after two goals were disallowed.

After a careless challenge on Enzo Fernandez, Cristian Romero was sent off, and Micky Van de Ven had to be substituted due to a hamstring injury. Maddison sustained an ankle injury and was taken off concurrently with the Dutchman.

When Destiny Udogie fouled Raheem Sterling and received a second yellow card, he became the second Spurs player to be sent off. With a two-man advantage, Chelsea quickly took control of the match, as Nicolas Jackson scored a hat-trick.

After the game, Maddison sent a message to Terry criticizing his celebrations, saying, “Jesus, you have your eyes closed when it was 11 v 11 first 15 JT?” Terry has since replied, saying, “*blue heart emoji* Don’t worry mate, you will get used to it.”

Report: What Tottenham’s medical team are now seriously worried about with Micky van de Ven

The potential severity of Micky van de Ven’s hamstring injury is starting to worry Tottenham Hotspur’s medical staff.

Tottenham’s medical staff is now concerned that van van Ven’s injury may keep him missing for months rather than weeks, according to a report by the Mail Online.

The defender will miss the remainder of the season and might even need surgery if the hamstring tear is worse than a grade two, according to concerns.

Thus, for Ange Postecoglou and his team, the results of van de Ven’s scan really can’t come soon enough.

The management team will now need to prepare for a period without their quick defender, despite the fact that it is a huge blow.

Naturally, Cristian Romero’s suspension will keep him out of action for three games as well.

And following the game, Postecoglou was quick to defend Romero in spite of his poor choices.

Eric Dier, who was judged surplus to requirements, will now lead the back line in an odd turn of events.

Ashley Phillips appears to be the front-runner to accompany him there.

Now, Dejan Kulusevski has expressed his belief that Phillips is prepared for the next level.

Tottenham medical staff are now concerned van de Ven’s injury may need surgery

Naturally, Destiny Udogie will miss a game for Tottenham as a result of receiving his second yellow card.

Pedro Porro will therefore be the only member of the starting back four against Chelsea to survive.

Additionally, Postecoglou will now have to rely on Guglielmo Vicario, his Tottenham goalkeeper, due to van de Ven’s injury.

In addition to his evident ability to stop shots, Vicario must now assume a leadership role for Postecoglou.

On the field, the Italian has appeared to be quite talkative, especially against Chelsea.

Additionally, a number of Spurs players will now have the chance to establish their value to this team.

It will be interesting to observe whether Tottenham’s plans to acquire a defender in January are now expedited by van de Ven’s problem.

Although it doesn’t seem like a good idea to let go of Eric Dier right now, strengthening the team’s roster might be crucial right now.
