Line Ups: Wolves v Tottenham – Ange forced into changes

The Tottenham Hotspur team that Ange Postecoglou has selected to play Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League this afternoon has been announced.

After an exciting battle against Chelsea on Monday night that resulted in both their first top division loss of the 2023–24 season and the injuries of several important players, Tottenham takes to the field at Molineux for today’s early kickoff.

After receiving a straight red card, Cristian Romero will not be available for Postecoglou’s use for the next three games, while Destiny Udogie will not play today due to a one-match ban.

After it was announced yesterday that Micky van de Ven and James Maddison will both be out until next year due to hamstring and ankle injuries, respectively, the bad news continued flowing for Tottenham (Sky Sports).

Additionally, earlier this week, Richarlison had surgery to address a groin problem. If all goes according to plan, he will miss the upcoming month.

In the news conference held prior to the game yesterday, Postecoglou stated to Sky Sports,

“We thought Mickey had a really serious hamstring injury, one that would take a few months to heal.

The Madders are even worse than we initially believed. After a poor performance the next day, we scanned him and are likely investigating the New Year.

“Richarlison underwent the procedure, which we kind of planned anyhow. He has been struggling with it since day one, and the international break is approaching; if all goes well, he should be a month from now.
