Romero has been playing quite well this season, so it was unfortunate to see him lose his composure against Chelsea.
During the start of the season, the Argentine defender appeared to have changed under Postecoglou, forming a strong alliance with Micky van de Ven.
Naturally, the hamstring injury that the Dutchman sustained will keep him out of action for a considerable amount of time.
Romero will return to Tottenham next month, though, following a trip to Manchester City, and it is imperative that the defender plays at his peak again.
It’s no secret that Romero was essential to Tottenham’s early-season success, and Eric Dier isn’t exactly suited to Postecoglou’s football philosophy.
