Lucas Paqueta takes absolute liberties in West Ham training and he knows it as star takes to social media
As the star takes to social media, Lucas Paqueta makes it clear that he is aware of the extreme liberties he has taken while practicing for West Ham.
After losing both Michail Antonio and top scorer Jarrod Bowen to knee problems during the international break, West Ham is entering Burnley lamenting their luck.
However, one of the top players in the Premier League, Lucas Paqueta, appears to be ready to go after getting plenty of rest.
Paqueta, who has been barred from the Brazil team due to accusations against him that he fiercely disputes, has gotten plenty of rest over the team’s three previous international holidays.
The Brazilian superstar of West Ham has re-posted a video that the Hammers media crew shot of him performing a Samba clinic during a rondo session at Rush Green.
His colleagues are in shock at Paqueta’s one-touch skill as he performs all the flips and feats, including some daring back-heels thrown in for good measure.
It’s an impressive sight.
Burnley should watch out because Paqueta appears to be in a mood, even though West Ham will be missing Bowen and Antonio for the match at Turf Moor.
He doesn’t appear to be a man carrying the burden of an FA and FIFA probe.
Paqueta was recently called “audacious and self-indulgent” by Tim Sherwood.
In many ways, it’s easy to understand the pundit’s perspective, but with Paqueta in this kind of frame of mind, it can only be advantageous for West Ham considering the injury situation.
A recent video saw Paqueta and Mohammed Kudus, the £38 million star player for West Ham, developing a strong relationship.
And as they assume a central role in West Ham’s assault in the upcoming games, the pair should have the opportunity to build on that.
