Report: Club make shocking transfer decision on Spurs man after recent performances

Tanguy Ndombele’s recent performances were subpar, according to the print edition of Milliyet (as cited by Sport Witness). Galatasaray made the decision to replace the midfield player in January.

Although Ndombele had a rough start to his time at Galatasaray, some Turkish media sources in recent weeks claimed that there was newfound hope that he could turn things around (Sabah).

The midfielder was said to have lost weight and was motivated to show manager Okan Buruk how valuable he was.

Although the Frenchman did start two consecutive games, one each against Manchester United and Alanyaspor, he was benched for the Istanbul club’s 2-0 victory over Pendikspor on Saturday because he was unable to prove himself in either contest.

    Decision made on Ndombele

According to Milliyet, Galatasaray has concluded that the Tottenham player, who is on loan, “cannot deliver expected results” at the team as a result of those performances.

According to the report, the Turkish powerhouses have already made the decision not to pursue a long-term contract with Ndombele when the current campaign comes to an end. The technical staff of the club reportedly “has a negative opinion” of the 26-year-old and has instructed the scouting department to find a replacement for him in January.

Although the Ndombele loan agreement does not include a break clause, Tottenham may want to agree to end the loan and look to trade the midfield player permanently to another team in January if he continues to warm the bench for Galatasaray in the upcoming weeks. Spurs may be holding out hope that Saudi Arabian teams will be interested in the Frenchman, but given his difficulties in Turkey, even that may be wishful thinking.

Tottenham agree Fraser Forster contract extension until 2025

With a new contract signed at Tottenham, Fraser Forster, the former England goalkeeper, will serve as an experienced backup to No. 1 Guglielmo Vicario.

A new one-year contract that will keep the former England goalkeeper at Spurs until the summer of 2025 has been signed by the goal.

After leaving Southampton, Forster first signed a two-year contract with Tottenham on a free transfer in the summer of 2022.

During then, the 35-year-old has made 21 appearances in all competitions, mostly as the seasoned backup to both the new No. 1 Guglielmo Vicario and the former captain Hugo Lloris.

Since Serie A side Empoli signed Italy international Vicario for £17.2 million in the summer, Forster has only appeared in one game, which was the Carabao Cup second-round loss at Craven Cottage to London rivals Fulham in August. But last season, despite Lloris’s injury struggles, he made 20 appearances in all competitions.

With the exception of Spurs’ opening match against Brentford, where Brandon Austin filled in for Vicario due to back problems, Forster has started all but one of the team’s 14 Premier League games this season on the bench.

Forster told the official Tottenham website, “I’ve loved being at the club since the second I got here.” “We have an incredible team, and I’m excited to continue this. I’ve loved my time here so far.

The new manager is a pleasure to work with. Everybody loves Ange since he’s arrived. We’re producing this, and you can see the vibe in the stadium.

“It’s great to be a part of that and great to help the team in any way I can.”
