Due to Tottenham Hotspur’s recent string of unfortunate injuries, it appears that Ange Postecoglou has already been in touch with a promising new target in advance of the January transfer window.

Tottenham has reportedly expressed interest in signing Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi, with the center-back being watched as a possible defensive reinforcement in N17. This information is according to Football Insider.

The England international is also a target for Manchester United, but Crystal Palace will only contemplate a deal that comes with a payment of about £60 million. Additionally, the source claims that the Red Devils would be prepared to give the 23-year-old £45 million; however, it is unknown how much Spurs would be ready to spend on the former Chelsea player.
Despite the Eagles’ inconsistent results in the English premier league, Guehi has been a vital member of the team this season, making 17 appearances across all competitions (Guehi statistics – Transfermarkt).
Josef Bursik, a former England Under-21 teammate, also praised the defender’s physical makeup, calling him a “absolute tank” in 2021, according to a YouTube video reported by The Chelsea Chronicle. Guehi might be the perfect answer to the current injury problems that have plagued Tottenham’s backline in 2023–24.
