Tottenham player feels he’s reached the end of injury nightmare

Richarlison of Tottenham Hotspur has revealed to ESPN Brasil that he suffered from an injury for a considerable amount of time prior to having surgery.

The 26-year-old missed two Spurs games and two Brazil matches during the previous month’s international break due to groin surgery that he had at the beginning of November.

According to the Tottenham player, he first objected to having surgery in order to keep his spot on the national squad.

I’ve been in pain since the previous season. He stated, “I had been trying to treat it, but it wasn’t working. I had multiple injections in the area and had other surgeries, but none of them helped.

Surgery was obviously the last option. I chose to get surgery since it didn’t work, and I was also considering the national team and the club.”

The forward’s remarks have been reported by UOL and O Dia, and both suggest that he first chose not to get surgery in order to play for Brazil in the World Cup last year.

The former Everton player wasn’t prepared to give up on this at the time. The attacker has also stated that he is now happy that he underwent the surgery.

“I didn’t want to lose up on the national team or on supporting my fellow players. In addition, I was a little self-centered; I realized when I was getting in the way of things and when to give up, Richardson said.

“I made the proper decision to have surgery, and I recovered well today. It’s time to go forward and execute now.

Ange Postecoglou substituted the South American player in for him during Tottenham’s tie with Manchester City and loss to West Ham after he had fully recovered from injury.

He responded to the coach giving him a start against Newcastle United on Sunday by scoring a brace.

The athlete then stated that he is no longer in agony.

“I have greatly improved since then. I feel like I’m 100% now, confident. This procedure, in my opinion, was a big assist to my recovery from training. That’s helping me a lot because I’m training now without pain. The next game is being thought about and it’s evolving daily now,” he said.
