The San Francisco 49ers have released more injuries ahead of their big time matchup Monday night against the Baltimore Ravens. These are the top two teams respectively in each conference going up against each other in a game many have called a possible Super Bowl preview. Both teams have been flying high throughout the year but the 49ers are going to be missing a few pieces on the defense as they get ready for Monday Night.
For Monday night’s game against the Ravens, the 49ers have ruled out DT Arik Armstead (foot, knee), LB Oren Burks (knee), TE Ross Dwelley (ankle), and WR Jauan Jennings (concussion).
Armstead’s injury stands out the most because he has been a key component of the 49ers’ formidable defense the whole season. In a match like this one versus Baltimore, where they are trying to halt Lamar Jackson and the explosive Ravens offense, he would be quite useful. Their defense is severely lacking with Oren Burks sidelined as well, going up against one of the league’s top scoring teams.
Nick Bosa is also listed on the 49ers injury report, despite the rumor that he will play in this crucial game. But if Bosa is unable to play for any reason, San Francisco will have an extremely difficult time stopping one of the league’s top offenses. Many people have already expressed their opinions on X that the 49ers’ injuries will cause them to lose badly.
The San Francisco 49ers Need Nick Bosa To Play Against The Baltimore Ravens
Not only is Nick Bosa one of the greatest players on the formidable San Francisco team, but he is also among the NFL’s top defensive players. Bosa will need to have a big game if the 49ers are to defeat the Ravens and secure what may be their most memorable victory of the season. Armstead is already gone.

Bosa ought to be ready for the big game, but San Francisco’s defense will be missing a few starters, so the Ravens should focus on the backups who will be available. It’s interesting to note that San Francisco remains the favorite against the Ravens on Monday night, but according to an interview he did after practice a few days ago, Lamar Jackson is not concerned. Lamar was cited as stating:
I don’t want them to choose us, so I’m good. It’s fun to be the underdog. We do better, in my opinion, when we are underdogs and when the opposition doesn’t pick us to win.
Lamar may be correct—they do appear to do better when others are doubting them—but even without Armstead and Burks, this will be their worst test to date. Is this a sneak peek of the Super Bowl? This is undoubtedly going to be one of the top regular season games of the year, but we’ll have to wait and see.
For Monday night’s game against the Ravens, the 49ers are missing DT Arik Armstead (foot, knee), LB Oren Burks (knee), TE Ross Dwelley (ankle), and WR Jauan Jennings (concussion).
