West Ham United trying to bring striker with 208 career goals back to Premier League

A striker who only moved out of London last year is reportedly something West Ham United is attempting to get back into the Premier League.

For West Ham manager David Moyes, the forthcoming January transfer window will be crucial since the London Stadium desperately needs a new striker.

The Hammers are performing admirably in the Premier League, but we would reach a completely new level if we added a fresh forward.

Over the past month or two, Moyes has already been connected to a number of attackers, notably Hugo Ekitike of PSG and Akor Adams of Montpellier.

The Hammers have been using an adaptable front three of Lucas Paqueta, Jarrod Bowen, and Mohammed Kudus while Michail Antonio has been out of the lineup

Even though those three have been fantastic, Kudus or Paqueta might take over as the starting center forward with the arrival of a top-tier forward. How dangerous would we be then, you think?

That appears to have every possibility of occurring this winter.

West Ham United line up striker signing

Give Me Sport claims that Moyes is looking into the prospect of bringing Timo Werner back to the Premier League from RB Leipzig before the January transfer market opens.

The 27-year-old has shown his abilities in the past, but due to his subpar play this season with Leipzig, he is being linked to a return to the Premier League, with West Ham interested in signing him.

If he could find his old form from a few years ago, I truly believe he would be a fantastic addition to the Hammers.

In the summer of 2022, Werner returned to Leipzig from Chelsea for an estimated £25 million (Sky Sports); nevertheless, it may not be his last stint in the Bundesliga.

The Germany international, who has 57 caps, is incredibly quick and would be a perfect fit in Moyes’ counterattacking formation.

Werner would free up a ton of room for players like Kudus, Paqueta, and Bowen to perform because of his quickness and eagerness to rush into the channels.

Werner is by no means prolific; in his 14 outings for Leipzig this season, he has only scored two goals. But in the 2019–20 season, he scored 28 goals in 34 Bundesliga games for them, and in his 467 career appearances, he has scored 208 goals (Transfermarkt).

There is no denying the German’s skill and ability. Although he has had some challenging times recently, I believe his style of play would be a perfect fit for our team.
