West Ham’s Jarrod Bowen impressed after win at Arsenal but wants to back it up

Jarrod Bowen praised a shift in West Ham’s mindset as they won at Arsenal in the Premier League for the first time since 2015.

With a 2-0 victory at Emirates Stadium, the Hammers moved four points behind the top four and kept their hosts from rising to the top of the standings.

Tomas Soucek scored the first goal thanks to a cross from Bowen, who took advantage of Arsenal’s shoddy defense. The goal stood after a protracted VAR review that could not determine if the ball had left the play before the England international’s center. After that, former Arsenal defender Konstantinos Mavropanos headed in his first goal for West Ham to complete the three-point victory. David Moyes’ team has now defeated Manchester United, Tottenham, and Arsenal this month.

Even while those triumphs have been marred by disappointments, such as a humiliating 5-0 league loss at Fulham and a pitiful Carabao Cup elimination at Liverpool, Bowen believes that building on Saturday’s victory against United with another three points against a championship contender indicates improvement.According to Bowen, “It’s a massive win,” the club’s official website said.”We were aware that it would be challenging because these are a very good team, but we were able to improve upon our performance against Manchester United.”We haven’t been consistent enough, in my opinion. We may have won one match, but the Fulham match comes to mind, when we gave up five goals. If we want to be mentioned in relation to making the top six and placing higher in the league, then we need to

“Like I said, it was a difficult game, but we came here with the intention of taking points, and we have accomplished that,” the coach stated following the Manchester United match. It’s those degrees of constancy. We have to go there and win that as well since we face Brighton on Tuesday.

If David Raya had not saved Said Benrahma’s stoppage-time penalty, things may have turned out even better for West Ham, but Arsenal had a night to forget.

Despite having 30 shots on goal, Mikel Arteta’s team was unable to threaten the scorer and was unable to secure the victory needed to overtake Liverpool at the top.”I believe we produced more than enough goals to win the match,”

“What was lacking were the minute particulars, the final maneuver, or the conclusion. We must take what we’ve learned from it and use it to our advantage going forward.”The games are decided in front of the goals, within the boxes, because the goals we let up were too simple. We didn’t measure up.
