Manchester City are interested in a summer move for Pedro Porro as they look to secure a long-term replacement for Kyle Walker, Tottenham News has been told.
Throughout the current Premier League season, the 24-year-old has started 19 of the 20 games for the north London team and has seven assists.
Some of Europe’s best have taken notice of him thanks to his impressive performances. Tottenham News previously reported that Real Madrid and Barcelona were interested in the defender, and a source close to Tottenham News has now revealed that Manchester City is considering replacing Walker with Porro this summer.
Walker was acquired by City from Spurs in 2017 for an initial payment of £45 million. The 33-year-old right-back is already making plans for life without him, and when the summer transfer market opens in June, City may try to re-sign Porro in order to raid Spurs once more in that area.
According to insiders, a transfer would be “terribly hard” for Porro to pass down, which may make a move even more alluring for the defender and Pep Guardiola.
