Prior to the 2024 season, Texas football makes a number of internal promotions.

After a heartbreaking exit from the College Football Playoffs last month, Texas football under Steve Sarkisian hopes to begin a new chapter in the SEC in 2024. Quinn Ewers’ decision to rejoin the Longhorns had recently been good news for the team. The team has also been successful in acquiring other transferees from the portal, including Trey Moore of the EDGE and wide receiver Isaiah Bond.

Moreover, it appears that the team staff has also been reorganized by the school. Sarkisian recently disclosed that Texas is elevating Brandon Harris to the position of general manager. According to Bruce Feldman of the Athletic, Harris, a former NCAA quarterback for LSU and UNC football, joined the Texas staff in 2019 and gradually advanced to the general manager position.

Promotions from within have also been granted to other names. Kyndal Perry has been designated as the official director of recruiting operations, Taylor Searels as the director of recruiting, and John Michael Jones as the director of player personnel. (through the official X/Twitter account for Texas football)

Coach Sark has announced the following promotions within our recruiting and player personnel staff Brandon Harris – General Manager
John Michael Jones – Dir. of Player Personnel
Taylor Searels – Dir. of Recruiting
Kyndal Perry – Dir. of Recruiting Operations
Texas will play in their new conference and take on teams like Georgia and Oklahoma in the upcoming season, so all of these internal moves will be crucial preparations for that game. Steve Sarkisian of the Longhorns will undoubtedly keep pushing for the championship even though his team’s 2024 schedule isn’t as demanding as many of the other programs’. Texas football is back on the verge of a national championship appearance last month, and with Ewers back, the expectations are high once again. And to put the newcomers to the test, the Southeastern Conference is currently waiting for them.
