Andy Reid Clarifies Controversial Travis Kelce Moment In Super Bowl

During the Super Bowl a few weeks ago, the Kansas City Chiefs were able to continue defying the odds and were able to get the best of the favored San Francisco 49ers in order to win their second consecutive Vince Lombardi Trophy.

Even though the Chiefs were able to come out on top against Kyle Shanahan’s squad, it was anything but easy, as Kansas City and San Francisco struggled throughout the game but turned it on late, which resulted in a thrilling ending in overtime.

While the Chiefs were struggling to put points on the board, superstar tight end Travis Kelce lost his cool on the sideline as he forcefully bumped into legendary head coach Andy Reid, which was a really bad look that he has since apologized for.

On Thursday, Colin Cowherd of FOX Sports asked Reid about the incident on the sideline, and the longtime Chiefs head coach gave a hilarious answer that was on brand for him via The Herd with Colin Cowherd.

“I didn’t see him coming, or I would have forearm-ribbed him, but I mean, you know, he got me,” Reid said. “Listen, I love his passion. I’m going to tell you, he goes, ‘Fire me up! … And so, I’m hard on him. He’s like one of my kids.”

Obviously, the sideline altercation was no big deal for Reid or Kelce, as they are about as close as they come when it comes to head coach and superstar player.

Fortunately for the Chiefs, the team won the game, and this altercation became an afterthought, or it would’ve been a hot topic of discussion throughout the NFL offseason.
