    Moyes declares Rice bargain

West Ham manager David Moyes has heaped praise on Declan Rice, suggesting Arsenal got a bargain when they signed the midfielder for a club-record £105 million last summer.

    Moyes declares Rice bargain

Rice has seamlessly transitioned to life at Arsenal, establishing himself as a key figure in their title challenge. His consistent and well-rounded performances have even seen him labelled as a potential Player of the Year candidate for the Gunners.

While Rice’s hefty transfer fee initially sparked debate, it appears modest compared to recent midfield acquisitions. Chelsea’s signings of Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez, both exceeding £100 million, haven’t yet matched Rice’s immediate impact.

Moyes, unsurprised by Rice’s success, jokingly revealed he previously suggested a £150 million valuation for his former captain. This comment emphasises Moyes’s belief that Rice’s current performances surpass those of other big-money midfielders.

In addition to his performances on the field, Moyes draws attention to Rice’s age of 25 and standing as a seasoned England international. These indications point to Rice having several more years at his best, which makes him an important long-term asset for Arsenal.

Turning his attention to West Ham’s pressing issues, Moyes anticipates their Premier League matchup with Burnley. The Hammers want to make it three games in a row without a loss and guarantee their spot in the European qualification competition. Following a lackluster beginning to 2024, West Ham has found their attacking groove again. With a total of seven goals scored in their recent victories over Brentford and Everton, they demonstrated their attacking ability.

Tomas Soucek says West Ham have an ‘unbelievable’ player who can play in multiple different positions

Hammers midfielder Tomas Soucek has just absolutely raved one of his ‘unbelievable’ West Ham United teammates.

Tomas Soucek has been in fine goalscoring form for West Ham this season, and his all-round performances have improved greatly in the last two or three games as well.

Big Tom is a popular character at the London Stadium, but he did go down in the estimations of some when He made a small jab at the Hammers supporters when he said that he and his colleagues don’t think the home crowd is fully behind the side this year.

This season, David Moyes has played some incredibly tedious football, which is why so many supporters are dissatisfied with his managerial approach.

These days, we have so many elite players, players like Lucas Paqueta, Aaron Bowen, and Mohammed Kudus, who should all be playing in an offensive, fluid, and progressive system.

Which of our front three has received the most appreciation from Soucek?

Tomas Soucek says West Ham have an unbelievable player

The Czech Republic international was full of praise for Bowen, and everything that the 27-year-old has done for the club.

Soucek labelled the former Hull City star as ‘unbelievable’, as quoted by WHUFC.com:

“Jarrod has been unbelievable at the Club since he signed, and he can play in a variety of positions. His numbers this season are brilliant, and I really hope he’s rewarded with a call-up to the England squad this month and also for the European Championships in the summer.”

In 34 games with the Hammers this season, Bowen has 17 goals and 6 assists (Transfermarkt).

He seems to have reached a whole new level this season, and we will surely be in a strong position come May if he can add five or six more goals and the same number of assists before the season ends.

It’s obvious that Tomas Soucek adores his West Ham teammate, and for good reason—he’s the primary factor in our current situation.

Jarrod Bowen, a forward with the Hammers, could hopefully end the 2023–2024 season on a high note.
