‘Get Him Out’ – talkSPORT broadcaster slams West Ham flop for what he did v Burnley

West Ham United midfielder Kalvin Phillips has been destroyed by Tom Rennie for his performance against Burnley, which he labelled ‘so, so, so bad”.

David Moyes’ side were unable to stretch their winning run in the League to three matches against the Clarets at the London Stadium on Sunday (10 March) as they were held 2-2 by Vincent Kompany’s side.

The Scotsman opted to start Manchester City loanee Phillips, but the England international struggled to get up to speed with the game and talkSPORT broadcaster Rennie urged Moyes to “get him out” of the side.

Writing on X on Sunday (10 March) he said: “Kalvin Phillips is so, so, so bad. Nobody did any due diligence on that transfer.

“Accommodating Phillips has unbalanced the team. Again. Get him out, and someone on the left.”

Will West Ham United sign Kalvin Phillips permanently this summer?

The Manchester City loanee Phillips has looked off-pace and nothing near good enough to start every week in the Premier League, making his January move to the London Stadium nothing short of a disaster.

The 28-year-old showed some encouraging indications against Everton when he played well off the bench, but he was far from that on Sunday as he was exhausted by the time he was replaced at halftime.

Though it’s unclear if the England international will remain a permanent resident of East London, you have to assume that the London Stadium’s management will be holding onto their money.

In the Premier League, Moyes can’t possibly continue to start Phillips every week, especially because the Scot needs wins to maintain his job and stay with West Ham.

In other West Ham news, following an appointment at the London Stadium behind closed doors, Moores looks to be nearing a new deal with the Hammers.
