Tottenham Hotspur striker Romelu Lukaku is available this summer, but Alan Brazil is opposed to the idea.
Romelu Lukaku has been linked with a move to Tottenham, according to the Italian publication Tuttomercatoweb, who claims that the north London club is interested in signing him on a loan. However, Brazil does not believe that this is a move that they should be pursuing.
I think he’s a busted flush now,” he stated in a talkSPORT interview. He was powerful and nearly invincible when he was at his finest, so pay attention. He would slam them in after saying, “Give me the ball.” Simply put, he got lost. No, seek out a different person.
Brazil continued, “But no, I don’t mean it [having a busted flush] in a nasty way. Tottenham supporters will ask, “What? No way.’ He is immediately up against it.
Given that he is not a member of Chelsea’s first team right now, 30-year-old Lukaku appears to have no future at Tottenham’s London rivals.
Romelu Lukaku still has more to give.
It is evident that Lukaku has a large number of detractors. Former Everton striker Marcus Bent has even alleged that the Belgian is a “overrated” football player in the past.
After Harry Kane’s transfer to Bayern Munich, Tottenham still need to find a new center forward, and Lukaku doesn’t appear to be done yet.
True, his second stint at Chelsea hasn’t been a success. Actually, that might be an understatement.
Last season, he had a similar poor start to his loan stint at Inter Milan but eventually managed to score 10 goals in 25 Serie A appearances, which is not a bad record. The Belgian international scored a few goals in the Champions League as well, demonstrating that he is still capable of competing at the best level.
In the end, it may be very wise for Ange Postecoglou to bring him to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for a full season, though you can see why some might be hesitant.
