According to sources who spoke to Football Insider, Tottenham is negotiating a late-window loan fee for Djed Spence with Leeds United that is more over £1 million.
The Premier League powerhouses and the Championship powerhouses are in negotiations for the 23-year-old right-back to join them on a season-long contract, but there are several rivals in the running.
Spence’s loan from Spurs has been approved, but the club also demands that his salary be paid for the duration of the loan and a seven-figure loan fee.
As they attempt to advance the transaction on Tuesday, Leeds is prepared to make Spence a loan offer.
After agreeing to a deal earlier in the window for Joe Rodon, they have already brought in one defender on loan from Tottenham this summer.
A substantial exodus of the club’s best stars has prompted manager Daniel Farke to request significant reinforcements in the last days before the deadline.

The player, who was born in London, was on loan to French club Rennes for the second part of the previous campaign.
