The striker has reportedly rejected bids from the Championship and appears to be moving to Serie A, according to the most recent Aston Villa transfer news.

Keinan Davis, the striker for Aston Villa, will reportedly have a medical with Serie A team Udinese in a shocking transfer development, according to reports in Italy.

As he looks for more consistent playing time, the Villa player is anticipated to depart the club in the closing days of the transfer window. It was anticipated that the team would transfer to the Championship.

There were other clubs said to be interested, including Swansea City and Hull City. Hull manager Liam Rosenior also said last week that there had been contact regarding a possible move, as did Swans manager Micheal Duff this week.

But it now appears that Davis has decided to go to Italy. Gianluca Di Marzio reports that the striker would arrive at Udinese today (Thursday) to finalize his transfer to the Serie A team and undergo a medical.

The association with Udinese is made possible by the fact that the Pozzo family, who also own Watford, where Davis spent the 2017–18 season on loan, also owns the Italian team. The striker made 34 league games while at Vicarage Road, where he scored seven goals and contributed two assists.

He played the second half of the season at Nottingham Forest on loan the year before, where he contributed to the team’s promotion via the play-offs. Six goals and seven assists have been scored by the striker in 86 first team outings for Villa.

From their first two Serie A matches of the year, Udinese have collected one point. They lost their debut match against Juventus 3-0 before drawing 1-1 with Salernitana on Monday.
