Perr Schuurs can still be available to Tottenham this summer.
Reporter Sami Mokbel for the Daily Mail claims that Tottenham Hotspur might sign Torino star Perr Schuurs before tomorrow’s deadline.
Spurs have chosen to recruit a new defender in this transfer window in order to fix their leaky defense, which has been a problem for them. Ange Postecoglou appears to be trying to sign another center-back this summer despite the fact that they recently paid £43 million to VfL Wolfsburg for Micky van de Ven.
In the past several months, a few names—Edmond Tapsoba, Piero Hincapie, and Victor Nelsson among them—have been connected to a move to the recently renovated White Hart Lane, but Schuurs is also allegedly on their radar.
According to Mokbel, who spoke on Last Word on Spurs, Spurs have looked into the prospect of signing Schuurs a few times and are truly interested in doing so. Unexpectedly, they haven’t yet taken any official steps to sign him.
The journalist asserts that Tottenham may yet decide to express their interest in signing the Dutchman before tomorrow’s deadline if they decide to make a profit on Eric Dier, who is no longer a priority under Postecoglou and has been moved to the sidelines.
Schuurs to Tottenham
Mokbel said:
“I believe Perr Schuurs has staying power, and they gave the deal a lot of thought this summer. For some reason, they haven’t activated that, but it would be interesting to see how Tottenham responds if Eric Dier leaves the team. He is not yet included in any way in the plans. They’ll need to replace him, in my opinion, if he leaves.
If Torino receives a bid of about £34 million, it has been speculated that they would allow their star player to depart this summer. If Tottenham decides to express interest, they will have to fork over a sizable sum to secure the services of the former Ajax star.
Schuurs, who stands at 6 feet 3 inches tall, is nimble and proficient in
The Dutchman is a player with great talent and the qualities he needs to succeed in the Premier League. So, if Tottenham were to sign him before the deadline tomorrow, it would be a huge victory.
In the next hours, it will be intriguing to watch if Tottenham decides to formally express their interest in signing him.
