According to his former manager Flemming Pedersen, Mohammed Kudus performs best on the right side of the field for West Ham.
The player was under Pederson’s management at Danish club FC Nordsjaelland, where he now serves as technical director at Right to Dream, a football academy in Ghana.
According to the official West Ham website (27 August), Kudus signed a five-year contract with the Hammers last month after leaving Dutch powerhouse Ajax.
Pedersen said of the athlete, “He is such a technically skilled player. He possesses these incredible unique talents.He was utilized by FC Nordsjaelland as a central midfielder who moved from box to box.
“We also employed him as a false nine and a more offensive midfielder. But I believe that, at least initially, he would be most effective on the right side of the field for West Ham.
Although he can play on the outside, playing in the right half-space and having a strong offensive full-back outside of him to give depth is how he should be used instead of as a right winger.

Exciting signing
David Moyes has only given Kudus one minute of playing time since he joined the team, but with Europa League play soon to begin, his time on the field is likely to rise significantly.
As the fixtures pile up quickly, the Hammers will need to rely on all of their players, and newcomer Kudus will surely be a key player in claret and blue as the club aims to contend in all competitions.
Before moving to the London Stadium, the attacker had a fantastic start to the new season, scoring four goals and dishing out one assist in four games for Ajax.
There is plenty of excitement surrounding the 23-year-old in East London, and it is justified, with the youngster also a fully-fledged international with Ghana. The likes of fellow attackers Jarrod Bowen and Lucas Paqueta have started the new season brightly, but they will welcome the addition of Kudus with open arms as the Hammers try and take things up a level from last season.
