If the West Ham player Lucas Paqueta is proven guilty of the suspicions of match-fixing and betting, FIFA may recommend punishment against him on a global level, according to AS.
The Spanish news organization published statements from Jorge Kajuru on their website on August 13 where he indicated the Premier League might ask FIFA for their sanction to be applied globally, however they are currently awaiting word on whether there would be a sanction.
Jorge Kajuru, the president of the Brazilian Commission on Sports Betting in Congress, has warned players facing suspicions of match-fixing and betting that his ideal sanction is a lifetime ban from football.
According to Kajuru, the sanctions can range from a 360-day suspension to a lifetime ban from participating in football, which is the punishment I want. This was reported by the Spanish news agency on August 13.

Still allegations at this point
Nineteen of the players mentioned in the article who have received sanctions from FIFA and other regulatory organizations are the subject of Kajuru’s comments, which are mostly directed at numerous Brazilian footballers who have already been accused of match-fixing.
Right now, Paqueta is only facing accusations, nothing more. The Premier League will conduct its inquiry and reach a conclusion as soon as possible, but as was the case with claims of a similar nature made against Ivan Toney, a forward for Brentford, the decision-making process can take some time.
But if the West Ham player is found guilty, there should be some cause for concern since it is clear that the Brazilian government intends to punish any of its people who are found to be accountable for these claims.
Match-fixing appears to have become a significant issue for Brazilian footballers recently, and many people, including West Ham fans, will be praying that Paqueta does not become the most recent example of this trend.
