“Fight on his hands”-Journalist speculates that Moyes may have already abandoned the £35 million West Ham ace
For a spot at West Ham United next to the “brilliant” James Ward-Prowse, Edson Alvarez already has a “fight on his hands.”
Paul Brown stated that Edson Alvarez “has got a fight on his hands” to start for West Ham alongside the “brilliant” James Ward-Prowse.
Former Daily Star journalist Brown told GIVEMESPORT on September 26 that, despite “doubts” regarding Tomas Soucek’s future, the Czech is currently in the lineup and David Moyes is likely to stick with him. Since the manager is not viewed as one who enjoys rotation, the new Mexican arrival may find themselves on the outside looking in.
After the two new players arrived, Soucek, 28, didn’t start either of the victories over Luton Town or Brighton, but he did enter the lineup for the last two league games. With TEAMtalk reporting on September 9 that a new contract is about to be announced, Soucek appears to be a key part of the club’s plans going forward.
Yes, there is a lot of competition for positions in that midfield right now, so nobody is truly assured a spot, according to Brown. As of right now, James Ward-Prowse has excelled and appears to be among the first names on the roster.
But the position of the player who will line up next to him is fairly open. I believe Alvarez is in for a battle. There are still some questions over Soucek’s future, obviously. However, I don’t believe the manager would have any second thoughts about starting him while he’s on stage.
Therefore, it will largely depend on which of them is performing it throughout training and which one the management likes on a weekly basis.
He doesn’t rotate frequently, so if you acquire the shirt, you’re generally going to get a run there, and it appears that Soucek might get a run right now. We’ll have to wait and see.
Everyone has their own space
Mohammed Kudus is the wildcard in this situation because Moyes managed to fit all of Ward-Prowse, Alvarez, and Soucek into the lineups for the matches against Manchester City and Liverpool.
