    Player Tottenham sold for £13m provides two assists in new club’s Champions League victory

    Tottenham Hotspur undoubtedly did not anticipate hearing that Davinson Sanchez had marked his Champions League debut for Galatasaray by having a significant influence in the final third when they traded him a month ago

    The Colombian made 207 appearances for Spurs across all competitions, but only managed one assist. But in his first month with Gala, he has already eclipsed that total.

    On Tuesday night, Davinson Sanchez miraculously contributed two assists as the Turkish team defeated Manchester United and exited Old Trafford with a memorable victory.

    Wilfried Zaha received the visitors’ first goal thanks to the 27-year-old. And in the end, he assisted Mauro Icardi on what turned out to be the game-winning goal. It happened shortly after the striker missed the post with his penalty kick.

    Of course, Sanchez assisting on two goals won’t likely make Tottenham feel as though they erred by allowing him go in favour of Seppling during the setup of the home team’s second goal.

    Sadly, during his time in North London, he never came close to living up to expectations. And when Galatasaray came calling, it felt like good business to gain close to £13 million for him.

    The defence had a mixed night.

    No, Sanchez’s performance that evening was not flawless. He obviously won’t be happy that United scored twice because he slipped just before the home team’s second goal.

    He did, however, succeed in clearing the ball five times, which was more than any other player on the pitch, according to Whoscored. He triumphed in three aerial duels as well.

    Having said that, Tottenham supporters will be happy to have Micky van de Ven back

    Since joining Tottenham Hotspur, Destiny Udogie has expressed his gratitude to his colleagues, especially Guglielmo Vicario.

    In a lengthy interview with football.london, Udogie stated that he already feels as though he has known the Spurs players for ten years.

    The full back also considered Vicario, a fellow countryman, joining the team at the same time to be lucky.

    When I joined, “everyone was really nice,” commented Udogie.

    I was lucky. Vic also showed there at the same moment, but everyone made me feel welcome.

    As soon as I arrived, it felt like I had known them for ten years, so having teammates like them was ideal for me.

    Naturally, this may assist in providing an explanation for how the 20-year-old has been able to start off so well so quickly.

    Udogie has rapidly become used to both Ange Postecoglou’s squad and the Premier League since leaving Udinese.

     

    The Italian now appears to be crucial to this initiative, along with individuals like Pedro Porro and Yves Bissouma.

    Vicario is with Udogie at Tottenham, and he is really appreciative of it.

    Both Udogie and £16 million Vicario must have their sights set on earning their first senior Italy caps given their success at Tottenham this year.

    Vicario was most recently a member of the Italy team, however he did not play.

     

    Additionally, Udogie has been outstanding for the U21s but has not yet been called up to the senior team. This could change very soon.

    Fans may hope that Udogie and Vicario may be fixtures for Italy for a while, much like former Tottenham sides were the backbone of the England squad.

    Maddison has failed to contribute significantly for England despite currently being regarded as ‘world-class’ by critics and supporters alike.
