West Ham Technical Director Tim Steidten believes tying Jarrod Bowen to a new deal showcases where the club is right now.
There is no denying that the club has had a dramatic turnaround in recent years, thanks in large part to David Moyes, who led West Ham to consecutive top-7 finishes, a Europa League semifinal appearance, and an extraordinary Europa Conference League campaign that saw our Hammers win our first major trophy in 43 years.
After that, the 2023–24 season got off to a great start, with West Ham presently leading Group A of the Europa League after 8 games and sitting on 14 points overall. This is our third straight season competing on the European stage.
The success of our club has now been further highlighted by the signing of England striker Jarrod Bowen to a new 7-year contract, which may see him stay in east London for the rest of his career. Few Irons supporters would have imagined the rise of our club a few years ago.
Tim Steidten, West Ham’s technical director, who has been directly involved in the transaction, thinks that this statement move from the club demonstrates where it is at this point, which is unquestionably on the upswing.
When an England international commits his long-term future to the football club, Steidten said on the club’s official website, “it’s a sign of the strong position the Club finds itself in.”

Bowen committing his future to the team naturally makes Moyes happy as well, and Moyes believes the winger will continue to improve as a Hammer for many years to come.
