On England duty, James Maddison taunts a Liverpool player as beef with Tottenham persists.

Before Sadio Mane, Jurgen Klopp failed to acquire a Liverpool player he desired.

James Maddison, a midfielder for Tottenham, has poked fun at Trent Alexander-Arnold, a right back for Liverpool, on social media. The two have lately reunited with the rest of the England team, but last Saturday, when Spurs and the Reds squared off in a contentious Premier League game, they were battling on opposing sides.

Tottenham’s 2-1 victory over Liverpool was marred by controversy, and Jurgen Klopp even demanded a rematch when Luis Diaz’s goal was wrongly disallowed for offside by PGMOL, who later apologized for the mistake.

Tottenham v Liverpool COULD be replayed! But it definitely won't be! And Becks sends a message

After joining Alexander-Arnold on duty with England, Maddison refused to let the matter go. He commented, “Still asking for a replay,” after uploading a photo of the Liverpool star waving in his way on his Instagram story.

Legal experts came to the conclusion that Liverpool might be eligible for a rematch with Spurs under UEFA rules, but senior Premier League officials are apparently convinced that it won’t happen.

In the summer, Maddison left Leicester City for Tottenham in the hopes of competing for more prestigious awards. He has had an immediate impact, contributing to seven goals in his first eight Premier League games.

The 26-year-old’s career in north London actually couldn’t have gotten off to a better start, as he has played a crucial part for Ange Postecoglou as Tottenham enters the international break at the top of the league.

Report: Premier League have introduced new feature due to error at Tottenham game

The Premier League has implemented a new function, due to the Tottenham Liverpool clash.

According to The Athletic, the PMGOL revised the procedures for VAR after the error that occurred during Tottenham’s match versus Liverpool.

The goal of Luis Diaz was incorrectly disallowed for offside by referee Simon Hooper, but VAR Darren England did not overturn the decision because he believed the goal had been given on the field.

The audio of the misunderstanding was made public by Sky Sports last week, and it revealed that by the time those at Stockley Park realized their mistake, it was already too late because the game had already restarted.VARProcess changes after mistake in Spurs vs Liverpool

The Athletic has reported that as a result of the error made in the Tottenham vs. Liverpool game, the PMGOL has implemented a new protocol intended to improve the clarity of the communication between the referee and VAR.

According to the report, it has been reiterated to the officials that while decision-making must be quick and effective, accuracy should never suffer as a result.

According to the new procedure, the VAR must now verify with the assistant referee to validate the results of the check procedure before informing the on-field referee of the final determination.

The source indicates that the adjustment was made right away and that it was in effect for the eighth matchweek.

It’s crucial to keep in mind that technology in football is still fairly young compared to most other sports. Prior to the VAR process being properly optimized and applied, there were always going to be a few errors along the road.
