James Maddison discusses the most bizarre things he’s encountered since joining Tottenham.

James Maddison of Tottenham Hotspur has now acknowledged that he has been very astonished by how quickly he has adjusted to his new team.

During the international break, Maddison spoke with talkSPORT and used the opportunity to wax poetic about his time at Tottenham.

The England midfielder said that Ange Postecoglou had been a really reassuring presence ever since he arrived.

Maddison did, however, swiftly warn out that not everything at Tottenham this season will be rosy.

“We have had a really excellent start,” he added. “Like I’ve said on many occasions now, when you walk into a new club it may sometimes take a little bit of time to adapt and stuff but it hasn’t really.

It’s a strange type of sensation, but I feel like I’ve been at Spurs forever!

But it only sort of fits. Everything is fantastic truly because the new manager has also been helpful.

We know the season is long and there will be hiccups, but we have started it off brilliantly.

“Especially this early into the new manager’s project, which is what he is trying to build, but we have off to a pretty good start and I just hope it can continue,”

Maddison is aware of the speed with which things may shift at Tottenham.

Even though questions about how he got off to a good start at Spurs are being raised, Maddison must be entirely focused on his time with England at the moment.

Despite his club performance over time, the 26-year-old has been unable to secure a regular position under Gareth Southgate.

Furthermore, it seemed as though the England coach had some misgivings about the former Leicester City player.

In the past, Madison had a history of being a prominent no-show.

It is increasingly difficult for Southgate to dismiss Maddison, though, given how quickly he has gotten going at Tottenham.

With important tournaments coming up, the midfielder now has a great chance to establish himself within the England XI.

Postecoglou, the head coach of his current team, Spurs, would be the first to say that he is qualified for the position.
