“Spurs will falter as usual.” – Former Arsenal defender says Tottenham will crash out of title race

Former Arsenal defender says: “Spurs will collapse, as usual.”

Former Arsenal player doubts Spurs will compete for the championship.

After eight rounds of competition, Arsenal is tied for second place with Tottenham Hotspur on goal differential.

The two North London clubs are the only unbeaten teams left in the Premier League this season, and many are speculating about whether this may develop into a title competition as the year goes on.

The white side of North London don’t have what it takes to win the title, according to former Arsenal defender Bacary Sagna, who has put an end to that debate.

Via Goal, Sagna said to Paddy Power, “The title race will be between Arsenal and Manchester City, Spurs will collapse, as usual.”

“Manchester City and Arsenal will compete for the title; as usual, Spurs will falter.”

And I’m not the only Arsenal supporter saying that. I don’t think the Spurs will be reliable enough throughout the season.

And I’m not the only Arsenal supporter saying that. They won’t likely be reliable enough for the entire season.

The Frenchman continued by saying that the squad doesn’t have any players who can have a significant impact during the season, other from Son Heung-min, who has scored an incredible six goals in the league.

Apart from Heung-Min Son, he continued, “I don’t see anyone in that lineup who can lead the team or play a crucial part in Spurs’ title race. Although I appreciate the players and think they play terrific football for a decent coach, the season is so long that I don’t think they will be able to compete in the long run.

In 284 appearances for Arsenal between 2007 and 2014, the former fullback came to the following conclusion: “They started well, and they can qualify for the Champions League, but I don’t see them competing for the title.”

Knowing for sure who will compete for the top prize in this campaign is still very early in the game. It seems absurd for Man City to be excluded from a title match.

Currently, Arsenal under Mikel Arteta are putting themselves in that category consistently and gradually. Moreover, everyone can see that.
