POSTECOGLOU TEMPTED TO PROMOTE STANDOUT TEENAGER AT TOTTENHAM

If Eric Dier leaves Tottenham Hotspur in January, manager Ange Postecoglou would consider giving Alfie Dorrington a chance to play for the first team.

If Eric Dier departs from the team in the first half of 2024, Alfie Dorrington might be in position to play for Tottenham Hotspur’s first team.

According to Football Transfers, Ange Postecoglou intends to elevate Dorrington in January, at least.

With Tottenham remaining unbeaten in the Premier League so far this season, pretty much everything is going perfectly for Postecoglou right now.

Although it is definitely too soon to start talking about titles, a successful January would undoubtedly offer Spurs supporters genuine hope for a top-four finish.

Given that Postecoglou is still building his team, there might be some exits in January as well.

Eric Dier might depart the club after failing to appear in any Premier League games this season while playing under Postecoglou.

Prior to the summer transfer deadline, 90Min reported that Dier was coveted by Sporting, Monaco, Crystal Palace, and Celtic.

By doing so, Dorrington would at least be given the opportunity to develop gradually rather than being thrown into the deep end in 2024.
