A reporter has suggested that Giovani Lo Celso and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg might leave Tottenham Hotspur in the January transfer window.

Under Ange Postecoglou, the futures of the two midfielders are uncertain, and in recent weeks, various, occasionally conflicting statements about those futures have been made. Rudy Galetti is the most recent journalist to attempt to forecast what would happen with them in January.

The Italian writer suggested in a piece for Tribal Football that Lo Celso would go out on loan once more and that both he and Hojbjerg might end up in La Liga.

Tottenham is preparing potential deals for the upcoming winter transfer window, the SportItalia reporter claimed.

The two most prominent names on the exits list are Pierre Hojbjerg and Giovani Lo Celso. The likelihood that they will depart in January and travel to Spain is rising.

“For the Argentine midfielder, Tottenham are also willing to consider the idea of a loan, while the eventual departure of the Danish midfielder — Atletico Madrid is always interested — could lead to some scenarios, such as the potential attack on Conor Gallagher.”

Lo Celso has already spent some time with Villarreal while on loan from Tottenham. Postecoglou reintegrated him this summer, although his impact has been constrained by injuries.

After three and a half seasons in north London, Hojbjerg is rumored to be looking for a new challenge.

Gallagher was brought up back in the summer when Tottenham made a last-minute attempt to acquire him from Chelsea. The Cobham product has now played more matches than anticipated under Mauricio Pochettino, but he might decide to extend his contract with Chelsea instead, which would compel Spurs to search elsewhere.

Tottenham to focus on Jota rather than midfield replacements

Galetti thinks Postecoglou would prefer to make an investment on a new left-winger next, notwithstanding the possibility that Tottenham will reduce the depth of their midfield by two.

Ivan Perisic and Manor Solomon, who are both injured, are Postecoglou’s top priorities to replace on the left side of the field, Galetti stated in his column.

According to TEAMtalk’s sources, Postecoglou and Jota previously collaborated at Celtic, and the Tottenham boss is lobbying for a reunion.
