Ben Davies’s fitness status has improved, according to Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou, before of the Crystal Palace game.
The Wales international is available after missing the previous game, the Spurs manager informs to the media ahead of Friday night’s Premier League trip.
Davies did not begin on the bench for Tottenham’s Monday night triumph over Fulham because of an injury he suffered during training.
The Spurs manager said that 30-year-old Postecoglou was fit to play in answer to a query from football.london.
Sure enough, Postecoglou said, he’s okay. He had a knock the day before training.
“It is fair to say our training at times teeters on the edge and unfortunately he copped a nasty one in training.
“Just a knock but it was the day before the game so it kept him out. He has training and is fine and ready to go.”
Davies available once again for Tottenham
I’m glad to hear this. It appears that there was not much of a problem with the knock.
Given the short time between the Fulham game and the Palace encounter, it’s hardly shocking to see
It is imperative that Postecoglou exercise prudence while handling his players, particularly those who were not present during the international break.
After taking the hit, Davies deserved a vacation because he started both of Wales’ games during the international break.
Despite being a “magnificent” player, Davies hasn’t played much this season. He has only appeared in four Premier League games, all of which were as a substitute.
But he did captain Tottenham against Fulham in the Carabao Cup, demonstrating how highly Postecoglou regards him both in the team and in the locker room.

Spurs now hope to sign “one of the top 10 players in Europe,” which is “interesting for Tottenham.”
In recent months, Santiago Gimenez of Feyenoord has been linked to Tottenham Hotspur.
Fabrizio Romano has now claimed that the Spurs are considering the Mexico international on his YouTube channel.
In July, JFMX tweeted that the Spurs would make an offer for Gimenez if Harry Kane left.
Gimenez managed to avoid the North London team, even though the England captain did eventually leave Tottenham.
The 22-year-old remained still and continues to improve. This season, he has made 11 club appearances in all competitions, and he has an amazing 15 goals and 3 assists.
Among the several teams interested in Gimenez is Tottenham.
Gimenez is now firmly on the radar of several of the best teams in Europe thanks to his heroics.
Regarding the forward’s future, Romano estimated that Tottenham and the other suitors would need to spend roughly £39 million to acquire him.
This piqued Spurs’ interest because they were considering Arne Slot as a possible manager to take over for Antonio Conte.
“We are fully aware that the boy is being watched by numerous elite clubs throughout Europe,” stated Romano.
According to what I’ve been told, €45 million (£39 million) might be the appropriate amount to make it happen.
“Let’s see if Feyenoord is more of a factor than the player when determining whether it’s in the January or summer window.”
Several clubs have expressed interest in this. I think Tottenham was linked to the kid since scouts from the club allegedly began tracking him last year.
“They saw that Santi Gimenez is without a doubt a very gifted striker as they pursued Slot, the manager.
For this reason, Tottenham and many other European clubs regard Santi Gimenez to be an intriguing talent. Decisions will therefore be made in the upcoming months.
“However, there has been no statement from the player’s family as of yet, and his father is the only one managing his transfer.”
To have more goals than games played even this early in the season is a testament to a player of extraordinary talent.
The forward is actually “among the top 10 players in Europe,” according to Morris Pagniello, an agent who is said to have a close relationship with Gimenez. This August, he linked the player to the Spurs once more in an interview with MedioTiempo. Gimenez would also be a steal for Tottenham at that price. However, if enough teams can initiate a bidding war, that price may rise.
