Ange Postecoglou leaves Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher in stitches with Pep Guardiola comment
After making a statement about Pep Guardiola, Ange Postecoglou leaves Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher speechless.
Ange Postecoglou stunned the living daylights out of Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville, two icons of Manchester United and Liverpool.
Ange Postecoglou made fun of the Manchester United legend’s unsuccessful management career, which threw Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville into a fit of laughter.
During Friday night’s 2-1 victory of Tottenham over Crystal Palace, Neville and legendary Liverpool player Jamie Carragher called the action on Sky Sports. Through this victory, Spurs increased their lead to five points at the top of the Premier League standings.
Postecoglou ultimately threw a playful jab at Neville during the game debrief after the game, when he joined the punditry duo.
The chuckles started when Carragher told Postecglou in jest that his tactical strategy was just copying what Pep Guardiola was doing at Manchester City.
“Because at the moment, you’re just copying Pep, aren’t you?” In response to Carragher’s question, Postecoglou responded coolly and wryly, saying, “Yeah so, I just study one game a week, I just look at what he’s doing and go from there.” What’s more, you know? Nothing is wrong with that.
Neville interrupted to say, “I tried to copy him!” at this point. which caused everyone to laugh uncontrollably and presented Postecoglou with an opportunity he could not pass up. He questioned, “How did that go?” which caused agitation among those working at the desk.
Postecoglou has led Spurs to victory in just his second Premier League game as manager, capping off a fantastic start to his tenure. On December 3, he will have the chance to demonstrate just how much he is “copying” Guardiola when his team plays City for the first time this season.
