Fans of Sprinkboks slam Prince Kaybee
Ahead of the Rugby World Cup final in France, Prince Kaybee, a DJ and producer, has angered Springboks supporters.
Ahead of the Rugby World Cup final in France, Prince Kaybee, a South African music DJ and producer, has infuriated a number of Springboks supporters.
When they play New Zealand on Saturday, October 28 at 21:00 at the Stade de France, the reigning champions hope to make it two in a row.
PRINCE KAYBEE WANTS THE ALL BLACKS TO WIN AGAINST THE SPRINGBOKS
Prince Kaybee, though, is rooting for the All Blacks to win the Rugby World Cup.
“This is the first time we’re coming in as the underdog, and as an All Blacks supporter, I love it. From the haka to the final whistle, it will be chaos,” he wrote.
Prince Kaybee had this response when asked why he supported the All Blacks in particular: “I support the All Blacks because of their style of play, adaptive planning with sheer brilliance of ‘ball in hand,’ and the exceptional support they show the ball carrier.” Simply put, I don’t like kick rugby. I apologize if my choice offends you.
The famous rapper from Banomoya revealed that he has previously backed the All Blacks against the Springboks.
In response to the question of whether he celebrates when the Boks win, he responded, “I just go about my life as normal and congratulate the team that won just like previous times the Springboks have won against the All Blacks, its not real deep.”
X USERS SLAM THE DJ
Here’s how the post by Prince Kaybee was received by South Africans.
“It is absurd to not cheer for your own nation in a World Cup final.
“I’m going to erase ALL of your dumb music off of my devices.”
I’m saying this in a place where people who support your music are South Africans. Perhaps this is something you ought to have kept to yourself.
