Chelsea’s thrilling Premier League victory against Tottenham was dissected by Roy Keane, who turned back time to take a jab at his old Manchester United teammate Gary Neville.

Roy Keane was not quite convinced by Gary Neville’s defense of the standard of play during Tottenham versus Chelsea.

Together with Ian Wright and Jill Scott, the former Manchester United teammates were featured on The Overlap’s Stick to Football program. They talked about the exciting Premier League match on Monday that saw Chelsea triumph 4-1 despite two red cards and five goals disallowed.

The absence of quality football on display, according to Keane, was the reason he didn’t enjoy the game. He was surprised to hear the Sky Sports analyst mention that the game was good during the opening fifteen minutes.

In response to a question on Mauricio Pochettino’s victory upon his return to the Spurs, Keane remarked, “Yeah, I didn’t really enjoy it.” I felt like there was a bit too much going on. There were a few send-offs and too much going on.”

Keane said, “I didn’t think the quality was that great in the game, listen I know Spurs were up against it, I thought that Chelsea were very average,” when Neville asked him what aspect of the match he didn’t appreciate.

I feel like there are a few sending offs in the entire game that kind of ruin it for me. Sometimes all you want to do is sit back and watch a really terrific game, but I know there are a lot of talking points.”

“Yeah for 15?,” Keane said in response to Neville’s observation that it was only valid for fifteen minutes. Gary was beyond ninety in the game.”

He said, “Generally speaking I just thought there was a real lack of quality in the game.”
