According to an Italian report published in La Stampa, the player already has a contract in place to join Atletico Madrid along with Juventus. The two clubs’ ability to reach a deal with Tottenham at this time is still up in the air.
The Midfielder is wanted by the North London team for approximately €30 million. In the Premier League, Hojbjerg has shown his mettle over the years, and both clubs should find him to be a valuable addition.
Hojbjerg most definitely fits the bill as the replacement that Juventus needs to find for Paul Pogba. The 28-year-old international player from Denmark would suit Atletico Madrid’s cautious philosophy.
For a player of his caliber, the stated asking price seems fair in the current market. The 28-year-old is at the top of his game and could have an instant effect at Juventus or Atletico Madrid.
It will be interesting to watch if Tottenham is willing to approve his transfer in time for the January transfer window. It will also be necessary for them to bring in a suitable substitute. They cannot afford to undercut their team because they are attempting to qualify for the Champions League this season.
