Tottenham hit with new suspension blow as another player to miss Aston Villa match after tragic loss to Wolves

Tottenham hit with new suspension blow as Ange Postecoglou undroppable to miss Aston Villa

Yves Bissouma received his fifth yellow card of the year, dealing another blow to Ange Postecoglou and the Spurs.

Ange Postecoglou is excited to get Destiny Udogie back from suspension for the match against Aston Villa, but one more important player will be missing. After James Maddison and Micky van de Ven sustained injuries in the 4-1 London derby loss to Chelsea, Udogie and Cristian Romero were both given red cards. Additionally, Yves Bissouma was given his fifth yellow card of the Premier League season.

Prior to receiving two red cards in the same game as Luton Town, the Mali international had received four cautions going into their matchup last month. Consequently, after serving a one-match suspension against Crystal Palace, he was still on four yellow cards.

After a rough tackle on Mario Lemina in the closing moments of the first half, Bissouma was given a yellow card, which means he won’t play for Spurs when they play Aston Villa later this month. Hojbjerg performed a great job standing in for Bissouma during the London derby at Selhurst Park, but Rodrigo Bentancur may get the start in his place.

With the Denmark international currently in the starting lineup, a replacement for James Maddison will be needed in the middle.  After missing the past nine months, Bentancur made his comeback in the Crystal Palace match. Postecoglou didn’t seem to be eager to start him right away, though, as he went on to make many cameos as a substitute after that.

When asked who will take the place of a crucial quarter, he said, “Look, it’s not just Gio, it’s Bryan Gil. We’ve got to be careful with Bentancur a bit, it’s for him, it’s for Skippy, Eric Dier, for all these guys.” “They have been training very hard for this reason. They haven’t been apart from the group; they have been training amongst us.

We’ve worked together on everything we’ve done. They’ve all put in a lot of effort, and now it’s just a matter of being ready at the right moment. It’s safe to say that for some of them, the time has arrived. Although they have been prepared for it since the first day, it is now their responsibility to seize that moment.”

Fortunately, the Uruguayan international will have a further two weeks to improve his physical condition in addition to any playing time at Molineux.

Wolves 2-1 Spurs: Sarabia, Lemina score in injury time as O’Neil’s men secure dramatic comeback win

Brennan Johnson scores for Tottenham against Wolves.

In injury time, Mario Lemina and Pablo Sarabia scored goals to cap off Wolves’ thrilling triumph over Tottenham.

Ange Postecoglou was obliged to make four changes from the starting lineup for Tottenham, which included Eric Dier, Emerson Royal, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, and Ben Davies.

James Maddison and Micky van de Ven are hurt, and Cristian Romero and Destiny Udogie are suspended.

Tommy Doyle and Sasa Kalajdzic are replaced at the beginning of the Wolves game by Jean-Ricner Bellegarde and Joao Gomes.

After only three minutes, Brennan Johnson gave Tottenham the lead when he headed in a low cross from Pedro Porro.

Pablo Sarabia took advantage of a feed from Matheus Cunha to score the equalizer for Wolves in stoppage time. Deep into stoppage time, Mario Lemina scored a close-range goal to make it 2-1.
