Journalist reveals recent brutal confrontation and fight between Daniel Levy and Tottenham star

Journalist describes the “frosty” confrontation between Daniel Levy and the Spurs star.

A “frosty” altercation between Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy and a single Spurs player has come to light, according to journalist Sami Mokbel of The Daily Mail.

Despite recently winning his third consecutive Premier League Manager of the Month award, manager Ange Postecoglou has now lost three straight league games.

After losing to Chelsea 4-1 at the beginning of November, Spurs’ roster has been reduced to almost nothing due to a string of devastating injuries and suspensions; as many as 10 players are currently out of the lineup.

Tottenham, who had numerous opportunities and should have won the game despite putting up a fairly respectable overall effort against Aston Villa, lost 2-1 and are currently experiencing their worst run of play since the Antonio Conte era as they take on league leaders Man City.

“That’s a different performance, as I stated during the week, so that’s what’s wrong with our performance at Wolves,” Postecoglou remarked in reference to Spurs’ 2-1 defeat to Villa.

“Again, it’s not like we couldn’t have won the game, but I wasn’t happy with the outcome in terms of the advancement we still need to make. It’s not the same today. I reasoned that since we are playing the same game today and will continue to do so until we get everyone back, we should be a formidable football team, as we have already demonstrated.

“Right now, we’re still constructing a team, so we just need to make sure the players stay focused on what matters most. You need to win football games to be in the running to be in a strong position at season’s end. The most crucial thing to remember is that moving forwards must be done so with the ultimate objective in mind. Today was all about attempting to play the football we want to play. If we didn’t meet our goals, then we didn’t meet them today, in my opinion. I assumed we were just missing out on prizes and having narrow margins.”

Spurs would have had something to show for their efforts on any other day, and there were undoubtedly positives to take away from the incredibly entertaining ninety minutes in north London.

During the match, Postecoglou started Emerson Royal and Ben Davies at center back, a move that shows how much he trusted Eric Dier.

    Levy’s “frosty” confrontation with Dier

Given that his contract expires at the end of the current campaign, Dier is a strong contender to depart Tottenham in 2024. In fact, the 29-year-old might depart as early as January. Rumor has it that Dier is being eyed by Bundesliga powerhouse Bayern Munich in a “shock” mid-season move.

Now that it appears that Dier’s time at Spurs is “numbered,” Mail journalist Mokbel supports the theory that Dier may depart the club shortly. What’s more intriguing is that the reporter claims that earlier this year, “frosty” backroom conversations between the player and chairman Levy were the focus of them.

Despite being a fantastic asset to the team, the former Sporting Lisbon star’s future may not be here very soon.
