Travis Kelce sends shocking message to Chiefs star after devastating loss to Packers

Chiefs TE Travis Kelce’s Message to Patrick Mahomes After Loss to Packers

The Kansas City Chiefs suffered a tough primetime loss on Sunday Night Football, falling to the Green Bay Packers 27-19.

On the game’s last offensive drive, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and company had multiple chances to tie the score, but they ultimately fell short.

Following Mahomes’ unsuccessful Hail Mary attempt, The Kansas City Star’s Sam McDowell reported that the hallway was “as quiet as you’d imagine” as he made his way back toward the locker room at Lambeau Field. Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce gave Mahomes a shoulder tap and the two pumped fists during the quiet.

Kelce offered a consoling word of support to his QB1. Kelce urged him to “keep playing, dawg.” “Dawg, stop being so hard on yourself.”

Despite the fact that it was unclear from the players’ post-game remarks whether Kelce was criticizing a particular play or the entire defeat, he was not bemoaning Brad Allen’s team’s dubious play-calling.

Concerning the officials’ decision not to call defensive passing interference on Packers cornerback Carrington Valentine, who covered Chiefs receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling prior to the ball being delivered on that last drive, Mahomes was questioned.

Reporters were told by Mahomes, “It is what it is, man.” “The guy was obviously a little early, but at the end of the game, guys are still allowed to play.” That kind of appeals to me.

“I would prefer that you let the players compete and win on the field. But man, that’s a hard job. That’s not a scenario I can be wanting a flag for. I have to make an effort to go out there and win the match, both for myself and my teammates.

After the defeat, Kelce said to reporters, “I ain’t gonna blame this on anybody but ourselves, man.”

Kelce responded, “That’s a good football team,” when asked what went wrong. They also performed better than we did. That’s the main point. All we need to do is keep banding together, fighting, and developing as a team.

Patrick Mahomes Regretted Not Targeting Travis Kelce in the 4th Quarter

The Chiefs offense took another step backwards against the Packers, even though it appeared to be getting back on track during their 31-17 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders last week.

Turnovers, penalties, and miscommunication with the receivers—issues that have dogged the offense throughout the season—were all on full exhibit. The offense’s margin for error was gone as the usually formidable Chiefs defense was unable to contain Packers quarterback Jordan Love, who completed 25 of 35 passes for 276 yards and three touchdowns.

Mahomes stated, “I think we’re close, but we’re not where we want to be at.” “We’re doing a great job of playing many excellent football teams. having a winning and losing streak in certain games. Thus, we need to try to keep it going through the remaining distance now that we’re sort of in the go zone.

Mahomes completed the game with 210 yards, one touchdown, and one interception on 21 of 33 attempts. Mahomes had a 79.1 passer rating against the Packers, following up with a 122.8 passer rating against the Raiders.

In Green Bay, the offensive play-calling of the Chiefs was also questioned. In the fourth quarter, Kelce, who completed 4-of-5 passes for 81 yards, was not targeted at all. Mahomes acknowledged, “There are a few of them I wish I would’ve (given) him a chance.” “I went to different places and failed to hit the guys with the throws that I attempted to make. Giving your best players opportunities to make plays is important when it comes to those crucial moments.

Patrick Mahomes Is ‘Focused’ on Bouncing Back Against the Buffalo Bills in Week 14

The MVP of two Super Bowls is not dwelling on the defeat in Green Bay. Mahomes is already focused on the Kansas City Chiefs’ (6–6) trip to the Buffalo Bills in Week 14.

“All we can do is use this experience as a lesson and concentrate on our next challenge, which is coming to Arrowhead this coming week,” he stated.Patrick Mahomes

Though everything is still in front of us, we haven’t had to deal with a lot of losses here. We have the potential to win the division, but it will require consistent improvement on a weekly basis, and we face a formidable challenge in Buffalo. We’ll see if we can improve next week when we resume practice.

Kansas City will receive a much-needed boost for their postseason run with a victory over one of their conference rivals. The Chiefs are still comfortably atop the AFC West at 8-4, but their persistent inconsistencies are still a major worry.
