Ahead of the major derby match this night, Spurs have issued a caution to West Ham supporters in an official statement.
Between West Ham and Spurs, there is no love lost.
When it comes to this one, bragging rights are always at risk. In addition, a victory by West Ham would bring them to within three points of Tottenham Hotspur.
In anticipation of Thursday night’s match between West Ham and Tottenham, around 3,000 supporters of the Hammers are traveling to north London.
Spurs supporters are highly encouraged to utilize public transportation rather than drive to the game, as there is nearly no parking available and the area around Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is congested with activity.
In a formal statement, however, Spurs have issued a caution to West Ham supporters ahead of the derby clash tonight.
Spurs send warning to West Ham fans
In a pre-match preview, West Ham has provided information to the team’s supporters about how to get to the game.
West Ham responded, “Just head for Liverpool Street and hop on a London Overground train to White Hart Lane or Greater Anglia service to Northumberland Park.”
The turnstiles for the away fans are located in the northeast corner of the field, and it takes roughly ten minutes to get there from either direction.
However, Tottenham has now alerted supporters to the possibility of service disruptions at Northumberland Park, both before and after the match.
Official announcement over travel disruption
Spurs said, “We would like fans to be aware of the following travel information when they attend our home Premier League match against West Ham United on Thursday evening (kick-off 8.15pm).”
“On Thursday, December 7, supporters should be informed that there may be a disruption to the Greater Anglia services that call at Northumberland Park, both before and after the game.
“We advise fans to arrive at the stadium early because there can be unforeseen adjustments to the service. It is also highly recommended that supporters use the journey planner prior to departure.
On the official website of West Ham, supporters can find other routes recommended by the club.
It says that a shuttle bus will travel between the Piccadilly line of the London Underground and Wood Green station.
