Tottenham plotting swoop for Juventus star Iling-Junior
According to the Italian website TuttomercatoWEB, Tottenham Hotspur has apparently expressed interest in acquiring Samuel Iling-Junior, a key player for Juventus, during the next transfer window.
The 20-year-old chose to join the Bianconeri back in 2020 after graduating from the Chelsea school. The youthful player has shown glimmers of his ability for the Serie A powerhouse since transferring to Allianz Arena, but he has struggled to crack Massimiliano Allegri’s starting lineup.
Thus, based on the report by TUTTOmercatoWEB, Iling-Junior is willing to leave Juventus during the winter transfer window in order to play first-team football elsewhere, and Juventus is prepared to pay for his services.
The report also states that Tottenham intends to step up their efforts in January after expressing a strong interest in signing the winger. Tottenham will not, however, have an easy time signing Iling-Junior because Newcastle United is also interested in hiring him, according to TUTTOmercatoWEB.

The forward, who Transfermarkt values at approximately £8 million, is now in the last 18 months of his current deal. Therefore, if Spurs choose to take a proactive stance in January, they may be able to obtain his services at a reasonable cost.
Iling-Junior is a left-footed winger who possesses great physical attributes, good technical ability, the ability to dribble past opposition defenders in confined spaces, the efficiency to produce quality crosses from wide areas, and a willingness to work hard even when he does not have the ball.
Apart from Tottenham, other Premier League teams like Newcastle and Brighton Albion are also showing keen interest in the exceptional Serie A winger.
The 20-year-old is a gifted athlete with a lot of potential. He might be the best choice to play in Ange Postecoglou’s extremely demanding system. Therefore, if they buy him next year, the Englishman might be a great addition for the North London team with an eye on the long run.
There have been rumors circulating that Spurs may try to add a striker and a new center back in January.
